The Original Jenna On '30 Rock' Speaks

You won't find a Hollywood feud between Rachel Dratch and Tina Fey. The two "Saturday Night Live" alumnas starred in NBC's "30 Rock" ... that is, an unaired pilot version.

After the original pilot, Dratch, who played Jenna DeCarlo, Liz Lemon's (Fey) best friend and star of the fictional sketch comedy show "The Girlie Show," the role of Jenna was recast. Jane Krakowski landed the role and the character became Jenna Maroney.

"When I was let go, I didn't think it was a big deal," Dratch told the New York Post. "The direction of the character had changed and pilots are recast all the time. I thought it would be a nonstory, but suddenly it blew up."

Dratch went on to play multiple parts on "30 Rock," including that of a cat wrangler In the aired pilot.

"Both Tina and I obviously adore Rachel, and we wanted to find a way in which we could go to her strength," Lorne Michaels, "SNL" creator and "30 Rock" executive producer, told Variety in 2006. "The way it's been rewritten, it's a much funnier part."

In an interview after the recasting, Dratch explained the switch to New York Mag. "I think the big thing was -- at least what they told me -- that at first they wanted to have more comedy sketches in the show. Then they decided they weren’t going to focus on the sketches, so they needed more of a sitcom actress, as opposed to a character actress."

Most recently, Dratch showed up in "30 Rock's" Season 5 live episode as a cleaning lady obsessed with "Happy Days."

"30 Rock" wasn't the big TV gig she had dreamed about, but "Lady Friends" might be the ticket. Dratch co-stars opposite Andrea Anders, "Cougar Town" star Josh Hopkins and Minnie Driver in the NBC comedy pilot about two female friends, one who has the seemingly perfect life and the other ... who is a bit scattered. "The New Adventures of Old Christine" veteran Kari Lizer wrote the pilot, which stars Dratch as Lisa, the newest member of the group who is described as worse off than the others in every way.

“My character is not a lesbian! She's not obese! She's funny!” Dratch said. “I hope this show gets picked up!"

'Luck' Series Finale: Ace And Gus Outsmart A
Contract Killer

Ever since HBO cancelled "Luck" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on HBO) fans have been wondering if any of the main characters would be killed off.

In Sunday night's series finale a hit was put out on Ace Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and it seemed like the contract killer would manage to get to him in a restaurant bathroom.

However, Ace and Gus Demitriou (Dennis Farina) had already figured out what was going on, and they had a plan. As the killer checked the bathroom stalls for his target, Gus sneaked in behind him and broke his neck.

He then placed the dead assassin on the toilet, picked up the gun and walked away.

Renee Graziano Breaks Down On 'Mob Wives'

Renee Graziano's had a tough season so far on "Mob Wives" (Sun., 8 p.m. ET on VH1), and things finally came a head Sunday night.

First, Renee found out that her husband, Hector "Junior" Pagan had been arrested. "Junior turned himself in today," she told Karen Gravano.

"He got charged with armed robbery and brandishing a weapon. It's a seven-year charge," she added tearfully.

Then, on top of everything else, while she was on the phone to her cousin, Renee heard her father, Anthony "TG" Graziano, being arrested in the background.

Frantically screaming "They're taking my dad! The feds are taking my dad!" a distraught Renee started pacing her kitchen before she completely lost control.

Sobbing, she yelled "Please don't let them take my father!" before hanging up the phone and starting to scream hysterically.

The drama continues on "Mob Wives," Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.

Lonna Saunders: Julianna Margulies on Acting,
Family and 'Divas'

The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies is not a lawyer, she just plays one on TV. But her grandmother was an attorney at a time when very few women were, she told a sold-out crowd at the third annual "Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts" luncheon held in March as part of Women's History Month.

In an interview with Steppenwolf Theatre's Artistic Director Martha Lavey, Margulies revealed The Good Wife was initially going to be shot in L.A. or Vancouver. But she refused to sign on unless it would be done in New York: "There's only so much of a gypsy life you can have if you want to be a wife or mom. Thank God, I haven't been punished for it, for choosing my family first."

In response to an audience member's question whether playing a lawyer up to 14 hours a day ever causes her to become confused as to who she really is, she said "Not now that I have a 4-year-old. He reminds me every day of my place in this world."

Margulies said she only learns her lines for a day at a time so she can stay spontaneous and in the moment -- this is also the reason why she doesn't look ahead at future scripts.

Although she has lived in Los Angeles, as a native New Yorker she prefers her hometown where she feels "grounded, can touch everything and ride the subway." As for her life in L.A., "When you have roses in your garden all year long, something's wrong."

On Chris Noth as her TV husband in CBS' The Good Wife, she said: "They ran his name by me. I thought it was genius casting -- women are drawn to him. We did Law & Order together -- it was my first TV series -- and he prophetically told me he thought he should be nice to me because one day he might be on my show!" And now he is!

Another leading man helped her out in her breakout television series, ER, where she played a suicidal nurse who was supposed to die in the pilot. As she was preparing to accept work elsewhere, co-star George Clooney left a message on her answering machine telling her, "Don't take another job. I think you're going to live." He had overhead a conversation of then-NBC program chief Warren Littlefield who had been impressed with her work in the pilot. She stayed on for five years, then left of her own volition reportedly walking away from another two years and $27 million.

Julianna Margulies won an Emmy as ER nurse Carol Hathaway, her first. Her second Emmy was last season for The Good Wife. She holds the record for Screen Actors Guild Awards at eight wins which means a lot to her, she said, because it represents actors voting for other actors. She also has a Golden Globe for The Good Wife.

Margulies is encouraged by the fact that so many pilots this year have women as leads. "Executives are realizing it's women who watch television and women who are buying the advertised products," she said.

But watch out: She has no patience for divas. "'Two hundred years ago, you were a jester in a court,' I think whenever I meet an actor who's a diva. Cure AIDS or cancer, then I'll bow down."

'BGT' Sensation Reveals Breakdown

After Saturday's SuBo moment on Britain's Got Talent, opera singer Jonathan Antoine has become an overnight star.

But the 17-year-old has revealed he has not always been so confident, telling of how he suffered a breakdown just three months before his show-stopping audition.

Jonathan - who has scored nearly half a million views on YouTube for his rendition of Andrea Bocelli's The Prayer with partner Charlotte Jaconelli - suffered weight jibes at the hands of school bullies.

“Ever since I was quite small I’ve had weight problems and the bullying was related to that. People would be nasty about my weight and say nasty words," he told The Mirror.

"I sort of had a nervous breakdown back in October. And at that point I left the school I was at. Me and school just don’t get on."

However, Jonathan - who also admitted he is still seeing a psychiatrist - will not be pressured into losing weight.

"Yes [I would like to lose weight] but it would be because I should lose weight to be healthy,’ he told the Metro. ‘I am the way I am and I always will be - if other people don’t like me, then that’s their choice but I quite like me."

"Singing is what I love and doing, Britain's Got Talent has been fun and made me happy."

After the singer appeared on Daybreak this morning, he took to Twitter to thank fans for their support.

"Messages from people just keep pouring in, it's overwhelming, had a lot of fun on daybreak, thankyou again to everyone <3," he tweeted.

A spokesperson from Britain's Got Talent is yet to reply to our request for comment on the support they are offering Jonathan.
