Add to myYahoo!San Francisco's local vendors are regularly winning the lottery--just not legally.
An episode of Dateline NBC's "The Hansen Files" featured San Francisco and a scheme by California Lottery Investigators to catch vendors stealing winning lottery tickets from their customers.
(SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO)
At the end of the day, eight different vendors were arrested for trying to cash in the stolen tickets. Luckily for us, their feeble attempts to keep their stories straight in the face of overwhelming evidence was all caught on tape.
Worried? A few tips, courtesy of Chris Hansen, to prevent your next winning lotto ticket from being stolen: check the winning numbers online rather than taking the ticket to the corner shop, scan the ticket yourself at self-serving lotto machines and make sure to sign your ticket as soon as you buy it.
Take a look at footage from the episode below, courtesy of Dateline NBC:

Add to myYahoo!"30 Rock" is doing another live episode. NBC confirmed the announcement that series star Alec Baldwin made on "Extra" on Wed., March 21.
NBC's "30 Rock" first went live during Season 5, performing two episodes, one for the East Coast and one for the West Coast on Thurs., Oct. 14, 2010. The episode had a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a total of 6.7 million viewers, one of the show's highest. So far this season, "30 Rock" has been pulling in around 4 million viewers so perhaps a live show, which Baldwin said will air on April 26, is just what the show needs to get a ratings boost.
Most of "30 Rock's" main cast have live performance background. Both Tina Fey (Liz) and Tracy Morgan (Tracy) appeared on "Saturday Night Live" for years, Baldwin (Jack) has hosted "SNL" 16 times and Jane Krakowski (Jenna) is a Broadway veteran.
"30 Rock's" last live show included guest appearances by Jon Hamm, Matt Damon, Bill Hader and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Louis-Dreyfus appeared as Fey's character Liz Lemon. "Tina was in like every scene, and we had to figure out how to get her from set to set," "30 Rock" director Beth McCarthy-Miller told The Hollywood Reporter. "Using Julia Louis-Dreyfus to play Liz Lemon in flashback scenes was the most genius idea in the world. She was so perfect."
In 2010, Fey told EW that the live show came about during the Writer's Guild of America strike.
"We did a stage version of our show at Upright Citizens Brigade during the [2007] writers' strike," she said. "That was what made us think that it would be fun to do. And how far we've come: NBC at the time was furious that we did it. Now we're going to do it on TV. It will be exciting for us to do it for a live audience and see if we get live laughter."
When THR asked McCarthy-Miller in 2011 if there was another live show in the sitcom's future, she said, "Nothing formal yet, but yes, everyone was like, 'I want to do this again!'"
No word on plot details or if any famous faces will be dropping by for the April 26 live episode.

Add to myYahoo!Vicki Gunvalson is Bravo’s original Orange County housewife and this season, her life is full of drama, divorce, a new boyfriend and even concerns about getting replaced by much younger housewives.
"I was one of the youngest cast members and now I'm the oldest,” Vicki told me when I met up with her at NBC. “They are bringing in the girls 16 years younger. Hello.”
The 49-year-old admits that she liked the show better when it first debuted, before the series turned into weekly catfights -- a new trend that the ladies' ages may have something to do with.
“We weren’t fighting, we were just talking about our lives, raising kids," Vicki tells me. "I think the producers wanted to sexercise it so we got the younger girls, but its okay, just more fights.”
However, the high tensions -- and ratings -- have people wondering what a show like this will do to Vicki’s business and real life.
“Yes, absolutely it does hurt business," Vicki tells me. "I have to be very careful of what I say and how my temper shows and I really try to control all drinking on camera because I'm not a big drinker anyway, but they sensationalize it. [They] Make them think you are drinking more than you are when you’re not drinking that much."
Insisting that the producers do not tell any cast member what to do, Vicki does acknowledge that with fulltime filming that transforms into a few minutes on screen, producers can definitely sculpt a scenario.

Add to myYahoo!I love TV. Maybe too much at times. I get excited for fall and spring premiers. I strategically plan out my DVR recordings on two TVs. I feel accomplished when I watch three recorded programs in a night. Maybe it's because I wasn't allowed to watch TV on school nights as a kid. Or maybe, like most Americans, I just watch too much TV. Regardless, I am now entering a new phase in my life -- TV adulthood. No, I'm not watching more "adult" TV (although I do watch the news now). I am 28 and have a serious girlfriend which means I can't watch sports and man programming all the time. I have to compromise on what we watch.
Now I still get to watch all Jets games, most hockey and baseball games and some of my favorite man shows (Archer, Justified, Walking Dead), but I have recently been exposed to what some may call "Lady TV." And I have a revelation for all the men out there -- it's not that bad. Seriously, you can survive some of it. Yeah, I know, you aren't going to record the whole season of Project Runway, but there are some television shows geared at women that are not only acceptable for men, but can actually be a guilty pleasure. So next time your girlfriend/spouse/wife tells you she wants to watch one of her shows, try one of the following...
Smash
Premise: A bunch of Broadway big wigs (writers, director, producer) are putting on a musical about Marilyn Monroe and two girls (Broadway Pro & Midwestern Novice) compete for the spotlight.
Why You Should Watch: Yeah, I know it's a Broadway musical, but the show is more focused on everything that goes into making a Broadway musical. It's chock full of backstabbing, double-crossing, sex, impressive music and sultry dancing. It's like Glee, but with adults and a real storyline. Who could ask for more?
Guy Equivalent: Suits (USA)
New Girl
Premise: After a bad breakup with her boyfriend, a very naïve Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moves into a loft with three guys. Crazy antics ensue.
Why You Should Watch: It's absolutely hilarious. And even though the show is focused on über loveable hipster Zooey Deschanel, the supporting cast more than holds their own. Schmidt and all his insane rituals and grooming products steal the scene. And as someone just told me -- "the invention of the douchebag jar has been the greatest thing to happen to TV in the last 20 years."
Guy Equivalent: The League (FX)
Revenge
Premise: An attractive girl (Emily) moves to the Hamptons and is welcomed into the posh community. Only they all don't know Emily is out to destroy them all as payback for the havoc this posh community unleashed on her family as a kid.
Why You Should Watch: Beware an angry, pretty girl and years of meticulous planning. When you hear a show is set in the Hamptons you think it will be all fluff. This is not the case at all for Revenge. It's a juicy and addictive show with tons of cliffhangers, conspicuous deaths and fancy cocktail parties. The beach scenes don't hurt either...
Guy Equivalent: Justified (FX)
The Real Housewives of... Wherever
Premise: I don't know if these reality shows really have a premise. Take unrealistic, really wealth trophy wives, put them in volatile situations and roll camera.
Why You Should Watch: You ever witness a car accident just about to happen? You instantly get that primal urge of excitement you can't hide. It's just like when a building is demolished. Now bottle that excitement up into an hour-long show with tons of makeup, plastic surgery, money and girl fights. There isn't a plot, but it's just pure entertainment sometime.
Guy Equivalent: Spartacus or anything on Spike TV
Rachel Ray/Giada De Laurentiis Cooking Shows
Premise: Cooking shows, with hot lady chefs (simple right?).
Why You Should Watch: Well the obvious reason to watch is that both ladies are rather attractive and now and then the handling of a vegetable can be rather sexually suggestive. Also, it doesn't hurt to know how to make a good dinner or two for your own lady.
Guy Equivalent: Male cooking shows (Jamie Oliver/Anthony Bourdain)
