Recently released on Disney Blu-Ray and DVD was Jerry Bruckheimer’s G-Force. This movie is an animated action film, full of explosions and chase scenes. The “secret agent” aspect of a group of FBI-trained guinea pigs was a little over my kids’ heads, but they were fairly entertained by the constant action. The photo-realistic rodents on [...]

Add to myYahoo! The annals of the Game Show Hall of Fame has very few names inscribed on its walls: Press Your Luck's Michael Larson, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire's John Carpenter, Jeopardy's Ken Jennings. Now you can add Frank Zappa to that list. Yes, THAT Frank Zappa.
The man, the myth, the musical legend made a special celebrity appearance on the very short-lived '70s game show Make Me Laugh, a show that rewarded people for not laughing at comedians like Gallagher the way God intended. He never even cracked a smile, but you will when you watch it.

Add to myYahoo!Morning Meeting, a horrid hour long morning news and shout show featuring former CNBC talking head Dylan Ratigan, invited Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on a recent show and conducted the kind of interview that would cause the Bill O'Reilly from that infamous Inside Edition clip to calm down. Although it would probably sound more like "calm the f*$& down."
Ratigan tried to take Schultz to the mat over the recent health care bill, but the only thing he accomplished is turning his own show into the kind of wall of incoherent noise that has dominated the cable news clusterf&$%. He has since issued an apology.

Add to myYahoo!Lawmakers in Mexico City have become the first in Latin America to legalize gay marriage.
Citylegislators passed the bill 39-20, with five abstentions. The city'smayor is now widely expected to sign the bill into law.
Gaymarriage is only allowed in seven countries and some parts of the US.Certain parts of Latin America allow civil unions for same-sex couples.
The Catholic Church and conservative groups had opposed Mexico City's move.
Thebill calls for a change in the definition of marriage in the city'scivic code - from the union of a man and a woman to "the free unitingof two people".
Regional differences
LawmakerDavid Razu had proposed the change to give same-sex couples the samerights as heterosexual couples regarding social security and otherbenefits.
Mexico City's legislature is dominated by the leftistDemocratic Revolutionary Party, which has already legalised abortionand civil unions for same-sex couples.
Spokesman Oscar Olivertold AFP news agency that city legislators were now taking up a measurein the bill that would allow married same-sex couples to adoptchildren.
A handful of cities in Argentina, Ecuador and Colombia permit gay unions.
Uruguay alone has legalised civil unions nationwide and allowed same-sex couples to adopt children.
Last month, an Argentinean court narrowly blocked what would been the continent's first gay marriage.
In a last-minute challenge, a court referred the case to the country's Supreme Court, which is due to rule on the issue.

James Cameron's Avatar has created new filming techniques and heralded a new age of storytelling and artistic endeavors. And it's being used to film evolution's little mistakes getting hit in the beanbag with a golf club.
MTV's Jackass will reportedly take Cameron's film techniques and implement them into Jackass 3D, the third movie installment based on the popular TV stunt comedy show.
The show's chief jackass, Johnny Knoxville, said in a press release that they would use the technology to take the camera where no camera has gone before: "up Steve-o's butt." I'm sure a 3D version of that will do wonders for Milk Duds sales at the concession stand.

2009 was a great year in TV - but not for every show. Some of my favorite series are in desperate need of a makeover, whether it's for an individual, plotline, or well, everything. But since it's the holidays and the spirit of generosity is all around, I'm going to proclaim the things I have on my television wish list for 2010, and hope that some TV exec out there will have the Santa spirit within and grant them. Check out what I want, and don't forget to vote on all of my Best of 2009 polls! View Slideshow ?
