How perfect! For a country with a major obesity problem, how is it that the Olympics were proudly sponsored by two of the most anti-health companies in the world - McDonald's and Coca Cola. Honestly, do any of the athletes eat this crap!!! And did you hear Michael Phelps will be the proud face of not Wheaties or Kellogg's Special K but FROSTED FLAKES!!! Don't get me wrong this is my absolute favorite cereal but honestly how the hell does that promote an athletic nutrition!!!!!

The documentary Trouble the Water was the winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, and the buzz around this movie has continued to build from there. The film centers around Kimberly Rivers Roberts and her boyfriend who were trapped in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. Roberts videotaped the the entire ordeal, which was, as you might imagine, horrifying.
The extraordinary footage of the catastrophe aside, what appears to be at the heart of the movie is the additional devastation caused by the government's indifference toward the city's most vulnerable citizens.
It seems like it would be a heart-wrenching film, but I've heard just the opposite. Even the trailer suggests there's something of a life-affirming vibe underneath the telling of this terrible chapter in our recent history.
The movie opens August 22 in L.A. and New York and will have a wider release later. To check out the trailer for yourself,

Okay, I'm not a doctor (surprising, I know), so maybe if you are a doctor, and your most recent medical experience is tsunami relief in Indonesia, maybe moving to County General doesn't seem so bad. Sure, it gets blown up occasionally, gunfire breaks out often, and maybe you may get taken hostage and/or stabbed by a crazy patient or two. But here's my question: Would you tell your spouse to work there too?Continue reading Courtney B. Vance joins his wife on ER

PORTLAND, August 20, 2008 ? Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender supporters of Barack Obama yesterday launched an online community web portal for information and discussion about the Presidential election campaign, and easy to use tools for getting involved.
The website, LGBTforObama.com, is the idea of long-time gay activist and Democratic Party loyalist Terry Bean of Portland, Oregon.
"After devouring many polls and talking to friends, it was apparent that many GLBT people were unaware of the stark differences on our issues between Barack Obama and John McCain," explained Mr. Bean.
"I was appalled that George Bush got 24% of the GLBT vote in 2000 and again in 2004 and vowed to do all that I could to prevent that from happening again with John McCain."

Spoiler about the person who dies:
This one is also a spoiler, for the same reason.
This clip has case details, but is NOT otherwise a spoiler. And it's rather funny.
That earlier spoiler clip can't be the end of the episode.

I votes. I picked out 8 without stopping then had to decided among the rest for 2 more. I could negotiate those choices forever! Too many great episodes, which is a good problem to have.
