Did we learn nothing from the sickening two-season run of 'The Swan'?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, E! is set to announce a wedding-themed competition show with plastic surgery procedures as prizes. It's called 'Bridalplasty,' and will feature women participating in challenges such as writing their wedding vows and planning their honeymoons. The winner of each challenge will undergo a plastic surgery procedure from her "Wish List," and the results will be displayed on the next episode.

Murphy Brown is in the 'House.' Yep, Candice Bergen is making a 'House' call to play Cuddy's mother on the hit Fox medical drama.

OK, enough with the puns, here are the details: The five-time Emmy winner will begin her multi-episode arc in November. According to The Ausiello Files, this is Bergen's first TV role since 'Boston Legal' wrapped. No word on an official episode count, but be sure to see plenty of shared screen time between Bergen, Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) and Hugh Laurie (House).

In other casting news ...

o. Patty Duke has joined the cast of Lifetime's 'Unanswered Prayers,' the TV flick about Garth Brooks' song. The movie follows a couple, played by Eric Close and Samantha Mathis, whose lives change when a woman, played by Madchen Amick, returns to their small town. Duke will play mom to Manthis' character. Alex Frnka has also been cast as the girlfriend to the couple's son. [Deadline Hollywood]

o. Lucy Liu will headline 'Marry Me,' a four-hour multi-part movie on Lifetime. The movie, about a woman looking for her true love, also has Steven Pasquale, Bobby Cannavale , Enrique Murciano and Annie Potts on board. [Variety]

o. Lou Diamond Phillips has joined Sherry Stringfield and Jamie-Lynn Sigler in Josh Berman's untitled Lifetime cop pilot. Phillips will play the boss to Stringfield and Sigler's police detective characters. [Deadline Hollywood]

'Top Chef' finale: the rise of the underdog

If you watched Wednesday night's finale to "Top Chef," then it probably took you a few minutes to let the end of it sink in. Yes, Kevin Sbraga, the 31-year old New Jersey resident who pulled out the victory.However, it would also be safe to say that this achievement did not come easy in any sense of the word. Kevin looked like he was on the cusp of going home for much of the season, and at the final four I even labeled him "happy to be there" (big mistake on my part). The trailer for The Fighter features Mark Wahlberg's abs, a practically unrecognizable Christian Bale, and plenty of inspirational music. The film chronicles real-life rise and fall (and rise again) of boxer "Irish" Micky Ward as he trains for the pros in the 1980s. In his corner (literally), he's got his big brother Dickie Eklund (Bale) and cute cocktail waitress Charlene (Amy Adams). Unfortunately a big match doesn't go as hoped, and Ward finds himself involved in a Rocky-esque battle to prove himself to the boxing world. To make matters worse, his brother's penchant for drugs and trouble puts a strain on their relationship and Micky's dreams.

The film has been in the works for what feels like forever, so I'm willing to bet the studio has a lot riding on David O. Russell's latest. But when The Fighter hits theaters on Dec. 10 will it prove to be an Oscar contender or just another motivational sports flick? Decide for yourself when you watch it after the jump
