It's been a big week for same-sex marriage, with both national and state-level flux on the issue.

Tuesday, North Carolina added an amendment to their Constitution that bans not only same-sex marriage, but all civil unions and domestic partnerships. Even for straight people.

On the other end of the spectrum, President Obama officially endorsed same-sex marriage during a TV appearance Wednesday.

Both events have been met with mixed emotions, but Jon Stewart took some time on Wednesday night's "Daily Show" to give us his take on things.

Regarding the North Carolina ban, he joked: "But you know what, actually? That is a step towards equality, since many opposite-sex couples will now enjoy the same lack of rights same-sex couples have always never had."

And regarding the popular defense that allowing two men or two women to marry would open a Pandora's box of human-dog or human-car marriages, Stewart simply asked: "Does your wife know that you can't see the difference between the consensual love that leads to matrimony and the enjoyment you get from a Dairy Queen Blizzard? Nobody would mistake these two things."

So it's none too surprising that her dream job involves Victoria's Secret. And angel wings.

Jennifer Love Hewitt hit "The Wendy Williams Show" this week to enjoy some girl-bonding with the chatty host. Wendy began by saying, "I wanted to give you a friendship ring because I love you," and proceeds to hand J.Love the most massive ring, friendship or otherwise, we've ever seen. (Wendy, can you be our friend?)

But it turns out Wendy has a better gift in store. "At the top of my [bucket] list," Jennifer tells Wendy, "I want to be a Victoria's Secret Angel so bad. Just for the day. I just want to be on the cover of the catalogue... I want to wear the wings."

So Wendy makes it happen. Victoria's Secret Angels, look out. There's a new bodacious star gunning for a spot in the legendary fashion show.

Robin Roberts: 'I'm Getting Chills Again'

"Boy do you know how to make a splash!" George Stephanopoulos joked with Robin Roberts as Thursday's "Good Morning America" began.

It was rather an understatement; Roberts had just returned from what was undoubtedly the biggest moment of her career, after she was chosen personally by the White House to interview President Obama for his announcement that he now supports same-sex marriage. It's not every day, after all, that political reporters are sending out minute-by-minute updates about the movements of morning news anchors.

Back at the "GMA" desk, Roberts reflected on the interview.

"I'm getting chills again," she said. "When you're sitting in that room and you hear him say those historic words, it was not lost on anyone that was in the room."

Roberts also elaborated on how the interview had come together. She said that she "got a call saying the president wanted to talk," and that, although there were "no guidelines," the issue of same-sex marriage was always going to be raised.

"We had no idea he would go as far as he did," she said.

How Much For Elvis Presley's Gold Bracelet

How much for Elvis Presley's bracelet? That was the question facing the "Auction Kings" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on Discovery) when they found themselves handling a piece of pop culture history.

A seller brought them a 14-karat gold bracelet bearing The King's initials, E.A.P. Elvis gave it to his trusted friend Lamar Fike, a member of his so-called Memphis Mafia. Fike passed away in January 2011.

As Paul Brown said, "anyone can find out the price of diamonds and gold ... but for us the value lies in the celebrity ownership."

So, how much for Elvis Presley's bracelet? A cool $10,000.

'Awake's' Major Twist: Has One Timeline
Disappeared Forever

Arguably the biggest question of NBC's compelling drama "Awake" has been which of Britten's (Jason Isaacs) realities is real? Both? Just one? Neither? The other major mystery: Will Britten ever remember the circumstances surrounding that car "accident" that split his life in two? Looks like we might be getting some answers to both questions ... and likely, even more questions as a result.

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at the opening for this week's episode, "The Little Guy" (Thurs., May 10, 10 p.m. ET on NBC), which surfaces some serious issues for Britten with the introduction of a character that's only been cryptically referenced before.
