Last night FOX aired Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show, and they're getting a little heat about it today. They re-enacted a scene from a Family Guy episode that made fun of deaf actress Marlee Matlin. Then they took it a step further and had Alex Borstein imitate Matlin singing a pop song. No worries though, since Matlin was there to defend herself.
Me? I thought it was funny.

Whether or not a company produces a product with any green benefits, spin doctoring the product's respective marketing material to make it seem that way seems to be a must. Though I think many, many consumer electronics products out there today boasting "eco-friendliness" are anything but. Sony's KDL-46VE5 LCD HDTV sports the eco-friendly tag, yet according to CNET, the set is in fact energy efficient and performs well from a quality picture perspective.
The set has a presence sensor which detects a viewer in front of it. When the viewer leaves, the TV set automatically shuts off. Novel, and a reason to up the price, but I'd imagine the feature does save quite a bit of energy. Other positive features according to the reviewers include "relatively deep black levels", solid standard mode dejudder processing, plenty of connectivity options and picture controls. Not so great features include bluish-tinged dark areas, expensive price, and dejudder-dependent antiblur.
CNET ended up giving the 46-inch LCD set a 3.5 out of 5 and a "Good" energy rating.

Add to myYahoo! You've read Allison's review and Joel's take on the Mad Men season finale, and I'd just like to add that I think it was the best episode of any TV series I've seen in years. Brilliant, dramatic, funny, even exhilarating. Here's a behind the scenes look at the episode, including interviews with Matthew Weiner and the cast.

Add to myYahoo!Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming to cable: The TV Guide channel and TV Land have both just acquired the show in a joint effort to run old episodes. Larry David and the gang will first appear on TV Guide starting in February, and TV Land will pick up the show from them starting in 2013. Now, I can feed my rerun addiction and catch up on those seasons of Curb that I missed when I didn't have HBO! Not that I need yet another program to watch in syndication.
I don't know how it happens, but I always get sucked into back-to-back Scrubs marathons. I've seen most of the storylines at least twice - Sex and the City episodes at least three times - but I still watch them again and again.
I know I'm not alone here, so tell me: What's your favorite show to watch in reruns? Seinfeld? Everybody Loves Raymond? The Office?

Add to myYahoo! You don't see George Clooney doing commercials in the U.S. (except for some voice overs) but like a lot of celebrities he does them overseas. Like this ad for Nestle Nespresso.
It's never explained, however, why John Malkovich is greeting him in heaven. Unless it's not supposed to be Malkovich and is just a character he's playing.
