Argo Trailer: Ben Affleck Is a CIA Operative

Ben Affleck directs and stars in Argo, his first film since 2010's critically acclaimed The Town. The political flick is based on the hostage crisis that occurred in Iran in 1979, and stars Affleck as CIA "exfiltrationist" Tony Mendez. The movie follows him as he heads up a covert mission to rescue six escaped hostages hiding in the basement of the Canadian ambassador.

Ben Affleck is a skilled director, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with this real-life espionage story. The trailer itself was not what I expected; it's downright serious, then gets much lighter. But with a supporting cast of John Goodman, Alan Arkin, and Bryan Cranston, I'm anticipating a pretty solid movie. Argo comes out Oct. 12, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

'The Daily Show' Announces RNC Coverage

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" has announced that it will be going on the road to cover the Republican National Convention from Tampa, Florida this August. The broadcasts will mark the first of two weeks of on-location convention coverage by the satirical news show, which previously announced it would air from Charlotte, North Carolina during the DNC in September.

From Tuesday, August 28 through Friday, August 31, "The Daily Show" will tape at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Ferguson Hall and air nightly at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then head to Charlotte to cover the 2012 DNC from ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center from Tuesday, September 4 through Friday, September 7.

"We are incredibly excited to spend a week in the beautiful city of Tampa," said Rory Albanese, Executive Producer. "We look forward to enjoying the beaches and the exciting nightlife, plus we assume this counts as a visit to our grandparents."

Both weeks of convention coverage will feature news, analysis, and guest interviews from host Jon Stewart, as well as coverage by "The Best F#@king News Team Ever" including Samantha Bee, Wyatt Cenac, Jason Jones, Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi, John Oliver and Jessica Williams.

WATCH: Jon Hamm Improvises Song About '70s Sitcom

Don Draper may not "get" the Beatles, but Jon Hamm is so well-versed in retro pop culture that he can make up songs about '70s sitcoms on the spot. In the first episode of this online-only exclusive from the upcoming IFC show "Comedy Bang! Bang!", Hamm is accompanied by Reggie Watts as he sing-speaks an ode to "Taxi."

Hamm is one of the many comedy and comedy-adjacent celebrities to appear as a guest on "Bang! Bang!", the new twisted talk show that premieres on IFC on Friday, June 8. He previously made five appearances on the podcast version of "Bang! Bang!", from which the TV show is adapted.

IFC will release weekly episodes of "Reggie Makes Music," in which "Bang! Bang!" bandleader Reggie Watts makes up songs on the spot with the celebrity guests of the show. Watts also has a new live CD and DVD coming out this month.

We all know that Cuban telenovela hunk William Levy is a stone cold fox, but it was his amazing performance on ?Dancing With the Stars? last night?not his smoldering good looks?that earned him and his partner Cheryl Burke a perfect score for their Fox Trot.

"All I can say is meow, meow, meow!' said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. "That was a like a super hot, sexy Pink Panther. Your movements were exquisite!"

Judge Len Goodman agreed with Inaba: "It was a mix of care and flair. There was care in the technique, there was flair in the movement. I liked it," he said.

And Judge Bruno Tonioli raved, "You heartbreaker. You couldn't be more debonair if you tried. I hate you even more."
