What Do 'Chicago Code' Actors Think of the Show's
Name Change

On Thursday, I visited the Windy City set of 'The Chicago Code,' which, until recently, was known as 'Ride-Along.'

I'll have much more on the Fox drama when it premieres Feb. 7, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to delve into the whole name switcheroo with the show's lead actors, Jason Clarke and Matt Lauria, and with supervising producer Davey Holmes, who wrote the episode that was being shot that day.

As Lauria and Clarke filmed a scene in which they pursued a bank robber from an El train, Holmes said that the search for a new name went on for over a month and involved dozens if not hundreds of possible monikers.

"From [creator] Shawn [Ryan] to from the writers' assistants, we were all making lists and lists of names," said Holmes, a veteran of 'Pushing Daisies' and 'In Treatment.'

Television comedies have had a long and interesting history of sudden interruptions:

o. A crowd of 9/11 "truthers" crashed the set of HBO's 'Real Time with Bill Maher' and heckled the man live on the air as security crawled to drag them out of the studio.
o. Some crazed tech junkie interrupted the Chicago airwaves in 1987 with his creepy rendition of Max Headroom being spanked with a fly swatter.
o. The cast of the long running 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' have talked back to more bad movies than a group of drunken teenagers during a Jim Varney movie marathon.

Comedian Doug Benson's 'Interruption,' however, is designed to help more than heckle. The live stage version of the stand-up show featured top name comics like Patton Oswalt and Greg Proops doing their acts while Doug interjected his own observations. Comedy Central has turned Doug's unique comedy concept into a late night stand-up comedy showcase premiering tonight, Sat. Nov. 6 at 12AM ET.

No More Mr. Clucks for 'Lost' Alum Jorge Garcia

Three things I love collided on Thursday: the set of 'How I Met Your Mother,' Bay Cities sandwiches and 'Lost' alum Jorge Garcia.

Jorge is guest starring on 'HIMYM''s big Thanksgiving episode in a few weeks -- titled 'Blitzgiving' after his unlucky character Blitz -- and was showing off his big grin and comedic chops that always brought much-needed levity to the island drama on 'Lost.'

But something was different ... and after a quick chat with the happy-go-lucky star, he admitted he's now shunned something big from his 'Lost' past and Hurley's life: meat.

"I've been a vegetarian for about four months now," Jorge admitted, after I commented on his meat-free caprese sandwich (my personal favorite from the Santa Monica, Calif., sandwich institution). That's right -- this means that the owner of Mr. Clucks wouldn't be caught dead chowing on fried chicken now.

Does the end of Daylight Saving Time help the ratings of your favorite show?

That's the theory being talked about this week. We turn our clocks back an hour this Sunday morning (don't forget!), which means Daylight Saving Time ends and we go back to standard time, gaining an hour of sleep. It also means that it starts to get dark a lot earlier than it did during the spring and the summer.

But does it also increase the ratings for prime-time TV shows?
