Most home theater fanatics probably aren't all that interested in a 32-inch HDTV. Not only is the picture resolution, etc. less obviously better or worse on smaller screens, but bigger just tends to be plain ol' better. If you happen to be looking for something smaller, however, whether it be for a bedroom or other secondary viewing area, CNET says the 32-inch Sharp LC-32D47UT should be a possibility on your shopping list. Why? Not because of an extraordinary picture quality. In fact, compared to most entry-level LCD HDTVs, the D47UT could probably use some spicing up. But three HDMI inputs, two component video, and a PC input provide plenty of connectivity, and the black levels and energy efficiency are both worth mentioning as well. Plus, with a price tag of $390 you can't really complain about the dollars you're shelling out either.

Could it be that the cool show for guest appearances is going to be Glee? It well may be the case after Kristin Chenoweth's musical showstopper last October. Kristin's Tony-award winning costar from Wicked, Idina Menzel, wants to do Glee. How do we know? Her husband, Private Practice's Taye Diggs, confirmed it.
There's more to it than just that. Apparently the Glee fans -- Gleeks -- have noticed the remarkable resemblance between Idina and Lea Michele.
Why, she could be/play Lea's mother! They look alike and they are both big time Broadway belters. We've heard Lea's incredibly rendition of "Defying Gravity," the song that made Idina a star, on Glee, too.

The on-again, off-again love affair between ABC and American Idol star Adam Lambert is making my head spin. In the past week or so, still stinging over Lambert's over the top performance at the American Music Awards, ABC dropped Adam Lambert appearances on Good Morning American, Jimmy Kimmel Live and New Year's Rockin' Eve.
Adam absolved ABC of responsibility for the cancellations. He Tweeted that it was pressure from the FCC. Then the folks at GLAAD weighed in, coming to Adam's defense. That was followed by the announcement that Adam is now set to appear on ABC's The View on Thursday, December 10. He'll also be on Barbara Walters' Most Fascinating People special on December 9.

In an interview published today in the Guardian, a fearlessly honest George Michael opens up and answers some personal questions including many about his notorious public sex life: "Why does he like to cruise when he could get any man he wanted? He seems astonished by the question. "I do get anyone I want. But I like a bit of everything. I have friends up there, I have a laugh." It's a fascinating interview:"As I reach George Michael's house, a huge Land Rover draws up and a man in shades gets out. At the same time, two women jump out of a little car across the road and run up to him, panting and shaking. They are middle-aged, German and seem to have been waiting a long time ? hours, possibly days. "Would you please have a photograph taken with us?" they say. George Michael obliges with a ready smile. It's cold and windy. "Would you please sign these?" the women say. They produce various George Michael paraphernalia. He obliges, but the smile is not quite so effusive. "I have to go inside now, ladies," he says, "thank you." As we retreat, the panting women tell him they feel a little dizzy and overcome, and that this has been the greatest day in their life. "We've heard the new Christmas single," says one, "and it's brilliant." "Yes, brilliant," echoes the other. "Even better than Last Christmas." Read the entire interview here
