True Story: Margaret Cho's First Love Became a
Convicted Murderer (VIDEO)

Margaret Cho Talks Crush on Murderer on 'Lopez Tonight'Margaret Cho's new album has a little ditty -- a "murder ballad" titled 'I'm Sorry' -- with a backstory that's frighteningly real. As Cho explained on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS), the comedienne's first true love became a real-life killer.

When Cho was on 'All-American Girl' back in 1994, one of the show's writers "really broke my heart. He was the first person that I ever loved," said Cho. "For 17 years I was in love with him, and I never thought to look him up because I was sure he was married and had kids and was living in a lighthouse or something."

After turning 40, Cho Googled him and discovered a very different biography. Let's just say she's lucky they never hooked up. And the truth helps explain why a murderous Cho is traipsing around with her dead lover in the song's music video.

Letterman: Bill O'Reilly Is a Smart Guy Who Knows
Better (VIDEO)

Letterman: Bill O'Reilly Is a Smart Guy Who Knows BetterIn the middle of a discussion with Rachel Maddow on the responsibilities of 24-hour cable news channels, David Letterman gave his two cents on Fox News political commentator Bill O'Reilly.

The host of the 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) said, "I have a theory about Bill O'Reilly -- smart guy and I think he knows better than what he's doing. But he's just found a place to make a living," said Letterman. "He's just doing this because that's where the money is. I don't think you can be as smart as he is and actually believe what he [says he] believes."

The MSNBC host listened politely but disagreed. "I don't know ... He got very upset with me. He called me a loon. I think loons are cute!"

The debate then ended abruptly when Letterman suggested they trade glasses.

Review - Covert Affairs Season 1 Episode 4 No
Quarter

Unlike AMC's Rubicon which premiered two days ago, Covert Affairs has a bright, cheery shell. Whereas Rubicon is sure to make viewers know trouble it afoot, Covert Affairs is not overtly dark, but there are hints of more, possibly something grand, in the fashion of Rubicon.

Exactly how far the boundaries will be pushed is another story. With Rubicon, we know there are no limits, given AMC's track record and the current pacing. With Covert Affairs, it's a much different situation. Maintaining a upbeat tone allowed USA to become successful with standalone episodes. How far can/will the writers push the idea that Arthur and Joan are in it alone? How deep will Annie get in the spy world?

Alone and on the run in a foreign country, Annie tries to survive and finish her mission, meeting an experienced Mossad agent along the way. She experiences the death of an agent first hand and realizes that the spy world can be very cold and unrelenting. At the same time, the leak to the reporter becomes the top priority, and that means Auggie is in for questioning--and that he's unavailable to guide Annie, increasing Auggie's frustration with his current position.

The plot remained average as it has been since the pilot, but Piper Perabo was still great and the actions scenes were solid. For the first time, Arthur and Joan served a purpose, molding the big picture as Annie, Auggie, and those underneath them must deal with the internal politics. All the pieces are coming together, making Covert Affairs one of the better shows of the summer.

Score: 8.7/10

The Process Behind Google Searches

The PPC blog posted an useful diagram on How Google Works: in Gory Detail.  It is interesting that they choose to display the information in a visual that does not have searchable text like a traditional blog post.  Where they trying to hide their content from Google?  They do say that Google is very secretive about their data centers.

Gavin Heaton who writes the Servant of Chaos blog wrote a nice commentary on the PPC work on MyVenturePad, which he titles The Scary Truth About Search.  He notes the major search optimization that many sites use and then concludes with the thought that web sites need to think about what happens when you ?throw ?social? into the mix and see how you stack up. Scared? You should be.?  Google Page Rank was created before social media. Has this social media compromised Google?s approach?   Do you use Google to find TV listings?

'The Rachel Zoe Project' - 'Changes in the Zoe
Camp' (Season Premiere) Recap

(S03E01) Brad Goreski and Rachel Zoe in season 3.It's all "Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead" over at Zoe headquarters, but what exactly happened right there? Was Taylor cooking the books, "borrowing" too much junk, or just being predictably miserable?

"I don't want aggressive and I don't want drama," says Rachel of her vision for a new assistant. Who can blame her for wanting an employee diametrically opposed to the one that walked around with storm clouds perpetually gathering above her indoor sunglasses?

With Brad as the new style director, things start to seem hunky-dory, but of course, as with all of the Zoe chronicles, this one has to have its moment of "crisis." (No crises, whether perceived or real, affect Rachel's actual facial expressions.)
