Today is May Day and the NYPD is bracing for some kind of protests from the Occupy Wall Street crowd.....
From the New York Daily News: Using websites and pamphlets, OWS organizers are urging people to help block traffic at bridge and tunnel ports to slow people going to work on May Day.

Protesters ? who also plan action in front of several financial buildings ? are using the date to strengthen their numbers since the labor movement traditionally holds rallies that day.

The "Occupy" movement has been established in Toobworld, thanks to an episode of 'The Mentalist' which had three suspects in a murder get cleared because they were arrested at the Occupy Oakland rally.
But over in the alternate TV dimension in which 'Castle' resides, the movement goes by a different name - "Take Over Wall Street".

Once the world of 'Castle' is blended back in with Earth Prime-Time (after its cancellation), the small differences - like the umbrella name for the protests or the identity of the NYC mayor - will be rebooted to fit in with the main Toobworld.

New Year's Eve

Garry Marshall's latest ensemble comedy features a whole bushel of A-listers. Everyone from Ashton Kutcher to Robert De Niro makes an appearance in the flick that features stories of people experiencing New Year's Eve in New York City. The movie also stars Glee's Lea Michele as an aspiring singer, Michelle Pfeiffer as a woman on a mission to cross items off her bucket list, Zac Efron as the bike messenger who helps her, Katherine Heigl as Jon Bon Jovi's super angry ex-girlfriend, and many others. Though the film isn't the best in the genre, it's fun to see all the stars assembled and matched-up together. Extras include director's commentary, a gag reel, and deleted scenes.

Haywire

Real-life mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano stars as Mallory Kane, a skilled black ops soldier on a mission for revenge after she is betrayed. Director Steven Soderbergh wrote the story around Carano after seeing her in a match, which means her butt-kicking skills are the focus of this action thriller. Also showcased? Antonio Banderas, amazing chase sequences, Channing Tatum, and lots and lots of hand-to-hand combat. Extras include a featuring looking at "the men of Haywire" and Gina Carano's training for the movie.

Abbie Cornish and James D'Arcy star in W.E., a historical romance directed and cowritten by Madonna. Cornish plays a modern woman obsessed with learning about the decades-old love affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson (Andrea Riseborough), the woman he gave up the throne to be with. The film won accolades for its style, even landing an Oscar nomination for achievement in costume design. DVD extras include a making-of piece featuring Madonna.

Brad Smith: 'The Bachelor Canada' Revealed

No, he's not a lumberjack, Mountie or professional snowboarder.

He's Brad Smith, a professional football player, Canada's first-ever "Bachelor." Most recently with the Edmonton Eskimos, the Quebec native wants to take time away from the sport to find love.

After waiting several months with bated breath, "The Bachelor Canada" finally revealed the Canadian man looking for love. Smith was interviewed on Breakfast Television this morning at the top of Toronto's CN Tower. He's looking for a "low-maintenance" kind of girl, and definitely considers himself a romantic.

The enduringly popular reality show is slated to start on Citytv this fall. The U.S. host of "The Bachelor," Chris Harrison, announced on a January visit to Toronto that the search for a batch of ladies was going strong -- we assume the contestants are ramping up for full competition at the moment.

Smith is joining as the 15th bachelor in the franchise, and is the second Canadian to search for love on "The Bachelor." The first Canadian was Jesse Palmer, the fifth Bachelor, who ended up briefly dating his choice. They broke up after several months together.

We wish better luck to our new Canadian bachelor.
