"Freaky Friday" Happy Halloween!

And the WINNER is....... Barack Obama! He may or may not win the Presidential election next Tuesday, but he kicked ass in the ratings Wednesday night. 26.4 million viewers tuned in to watch his 30-minute infomercial. ( I was not one of those 26 mil.) Let's make the jump & I'll tell you more........

The World Series Game #5, (which took three days to play, resulting in the Philedephia Phillies as the champions) got 16.7 million viewers over it's 3hr. run garnering the hightest over-all ratings, but the worst ever in World Series history.

Sadly, ABC's "Pushing Daisies" only pulled in 6.6 million viewers, a slight increase over last week's ratings. It doesn't seem to be enough to save the show from cancellation. The cast & crew have finished filming the 12th & final episode of their contract. There has been no word from executives of a full season commitment. On the other hand, "The Practice" which follows "Daises" on Wednesday nights, has been picked up for the full season. Speculation is that, because of the high expence of producing the show, it will fall prey to the economic crunch & will be part of the network's "tightening of it's belt" cut backs. Things don't look good for the "Pie Hole".

In happier news, CW has extended it's highly rated & popular "Gossip Girl" by one episode, going from 24 to 25 episodes this season. "One Tree Hill" has also had an increase, going from 22 to 24 episodes. Good news considering "Valentine", their new show this season has gone to 'cancellation' heaven with "Easy Money" not far behind.

Oh my god, I was soooo close to being right about the people voted off "Survivor: Gabon" last night. I guessed that Ace & Suze would get kicked off the island. I was wrong by one vote. Dan went instead of Suze, by one frickin' vote. Too bad those weren't my picks for "Fantasy Survivor"! Kenny came through with a great stradegy to get rid of Ace and he was totally blind-sided. Don't you just love it when that happens/ Sugar wrote Ace-hole on here paper & CBC blurred out the "hole" word. Come on! What was that all about?

"Ugly Betty" fired Lindsey Lohan last night. Well, Wilhelmina was the one to do the deed, but it was a great moment when TV imitated real life or actually, it was the other way around, real life immitating TV. I just want to say this, Vanessa Williams always looks SO fashionable every week. whoever is in charge of her wardwrobe, goes to great length to make her stunningly beautiful.

Ok, enough gossip. It's time to see what's on TV for our Halloween pleasures.

The BIG Show of the night is SciFi's "Ghost Hunters LIVE Halloween Party" at 7pm. Jason & Grant will broadcast live for the next 7hrs at Fort Delaware, home to a POW Camp during the Civil War. There is reported to be over 2400 restless souls in the fort. I'm a tad skeptical, thinking of the time Geraldo sucked me into believing he was going to unearth Al Capone's hidden treasures & all we saw was a beer bottle.

BRAVO is airing "100 Scariest Movie Moments" starting at 6pm. This is a 5-part series, showcasing the best of the best in the history of cinema horror. Watching this is like watching little bits of all the movies you've ever watched or were too scared to watch. What do you think will be the #1 "scariest moment"? I'm thinking

HISTORY: "Modern Marvels" at 8pm. (new) "Halloween Tech". We are shown how to make a ghoulish mask, the techique behind applying make-up to look like you've had your eye gouged out or your throat slit. The secret to realistic 'blood'. We also get a pumpkin carving lesson and go to a popular "haunted mansion".

WGN is airing a marathon of "The Munsters" which has been going on all day!
WE: "666- Searching for Satan" at 9pm. I wonder if they find him. I think he lives in a 'White House.'

ABC:
"Wife Swap" at 8pm. (new)
"Supernanny" at 9pm. (new)
"20/20" at 10pm. (new) Elizabeth Vargas interviews the "Maverick" Sarah Palin or is that Tina Fey? Nah, it must be Palin. This is ABC, not NBC. (they wouldn't loan out their 'golden girl'.)

CBS:
"Ghost Whisperer" at 8pm. (new) I'm sure there will be a Halloween theme on this show. There is every week.
"NCIS" at 9pm. (repeat)
"NUMB3RS" at 10pm. (new) They probably investigate the number 666.

NBC:
"Deal or No Deal" at 8pm. (new)
"Crusoe" at 9pm. (new)
"Lipstick Jungle" at 10pm. (new)

FOX:
"Are You smarter than a 5th Grader?" at 8pm. (new)
"Don't Forget the Lyrics" at 9pm. (new)

CW:
"Everybody Hates Chris" at 8pm. (new)
"The Game" at 8:30pm. (new)
"America's Next Top Model" at 9pm. (repeat)

NGC: "The Dog Whisperer" at 9pm. (new) Demon Dogs!
USA: "The Starter Wife" at 10pm. (new)
truTV: "Forensic Files" at 9pm. (new) "Grave Justice" at 10pm. (new)
TLC: "Real Simple/Real Life" at 8pm. (new) "What Not To Wear" at 9pm. (new)

E!:
"Doomed to Die?: 13 Most Shocking Hollywood Curses" at 8pm. (new)
"True Hollywood Story: Star Jones" at 9pm. (new)
"The Soup" at 10pm. (new)

TMC has "Snoop Dog's "Hood of Horror" at 9pm.

HBO has "Real Tme with Bill Maher" at 11pm. (new) Roger Moore is the guest.

I apologize for this being so late. I experienced technical difficulties & lost most of my report including my "Ghoul Guide". I hope I've helped you decide what to watch.

Actually, you should be out with your kids trick or treating or dressed up like an asshole or a whore and getting drunk & getting laid.

love
