What's Brewin' in TV News - 'Ugly Betty' Takes a Back
Seat, SAG Strike Not Gonna Happen and More

  • CBS is hitting the reality crime genre with a new show called "Missing You" which will follow a team of investigators taking on a different missing-persons case every week. source
  • "The Real World" season 22 has home and this time it's Cancun!  The housemates will work with spring break resource site StudentCity.com as guides for visiting college students.   This basically means they have to help other people have safe and fun vacations while having their own...safe and fun vacation.  Should be interesting!  source
  • VH1 has snagged a new untitled series that will follow Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens and friends.  It's set to launch this summer.  source
  • Still worried about the SAG strike?  Well worry no more.  Screen Actors Guild national executive and chief negotiator Doug Allen was removed from his post this morning, right on the heels of the SAG awards.  With him gone, this virtually eliminates any possibility of a strike.  Want to read all the gritty details?  Check out the source.
  • ABC has ordered up a pilot of "V", a show that will center around a female Homeland Security agent and written by "4400" co-creator Scott Peters.  source
  • ABC has more news and this a little more surprising.  The network will be putting hit show "Ugly Betty" on hold starting March 26th in order to make more room for "Samantha Who?" and a new comedy called "In The Motherhood" starring Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines. Apparently the ratings have dipped just enough to lead them to this decision. I just hope this doesn't mean the end!  source
