Is Race An Issue On '16 & Pregnant'

On the latest episode of "16 & Pregnant" (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on MTV) viewers were introduced to interracial couple, Jordan Howard and Tyler Zeplin.

As if things weren't hard enough for the young expecting couple, Jordan's mom Kelly hated Tyler. She thought he was disrespectful, but it also seemed like she may have had a problem with the fact that he was white.

While the episode aired Jordan took to Twitter defend her mom from accusations of racism during the show: “We all know MTV loves the drama. My mom is not racist. SHE IS MIXED LOL.”

"16 & Pregnant" continues on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
